Assigning a Course to a User

If you need to assign a course to a user, you can easily do so by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Users page: You can access the Course Map page by clicking on the Users option in the menu.

  2. Click the green icon for the desired user: Find the user you want to assign a course to and click the green icon next to their name found under the Actions column. This will bring up a window with more information about the user.

  3. Find the course list: On the right-hand side of the user information window, you will see a list of all available courses in your system.

  4. Assign applicable courses: Select the course or courses that are applicable to the user by clicking on them. Be sure to select only the courses that are applicable to the user's role and responsibilities.

Note

Keep in mind departmental access: If the user is assigned the role of department head, they will automatically have access to all courses within their department. However, they do not need to be assigned all the courses within their department as long as they are assigned as the department head for any user who is assigned to those courses.

  1. Save your changes: Once you have assigned the appropriate course or courses, click the Save button to ensure that the changes are saved to the system.
