Navigating the Course Map
The Course Map (admin) and public course map share the same panning and zooming gestures.
Move the map
Click and drag (or click and hold with a trackpad) to pan in any direction.
Zoom in or out
Scroll the mouse wheel, or pinch on a trackpad, to zoom in or out.
Admin toolbar (admin Course Map only)
The admin version has a toolbar at the top with two groups.
Left side — mode and panel:

| Course Panel button | Opens and closes the course list panel on the right side of the screen |
| View mode | Pan and zoom only, with no editing controls shown on cards |
| Edit mode | Shows + (add child) and M (merge) controls when you hover a card |
| Remove mode | Shows − (remove from map) controls when you hover a card |
Right side — history and save:
| Control | What it does |

| Undo (⌘Z) | Undoes the last map change (such as add, remove, or merge) |
| Redo (⌘⇧Z) | Redoes an undone change |
| N unsaved changes badge | Shows how many changes have been made since the last save. Click it to review the change history before saving. |
| Save Changes | Opens a confirmation drawer listing all pending changes. Confirm to persist them to the database. |
| ? (help) | Replays the in-app tutorial for the Course Map |
Changes are not saved automatically. You must click Save Changes and confirm in the drawer. Refreshing the page without saving will discard unsaved changes.
Rearranging courses by dragging
In Edit mode, you can drag any course card to a different position on the map. All child courses beneath it will move with it. If you drag toward the edge of the screen, the map will auto-pan so you can drop a course onto a part of the map that is not currently visible.
Dragging is a staged change like any other edit. Click Save Changes when you are done rearranging.
