Adding a Discipline

To add a new discipline to the system, please follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Disciplines page: You can access the Disciplines page by clicking on the Disciplines option in the menu.

  2. Click the Add New Discipline button: On the Disciplines page, you will find a button labeled Add New Discipline. Click on it to start adding a new discipline.

  3. Fill in the discipline details: Once you have clicked the Add New Discipline button, you will be presented with a form to fill in the details of the new discipline. You will need to provide the following information:

    a. Name: This is the name that will represent the discipline within Elevate.

    b. Color: This is the color that will be used within the course map and alignment to differentiate the discipline from others. You can choose any color you like.

    c. Image (optional): If you have an image that represents the discipline. This image will be used within the course map to identify the discipline.

    d. Philosophy (optional): If you have a specific philosophy that guides the discipline, you can provide a brief summary of it here. This information will be used within the course alignment.

  4. Save the discipline: Once you have filled in all the necessary details, click the Save button to add the new discipline to the system.
